Key West Fishing 04-13-16

If you are looking for some variety on a fishing charter, now is the time to visit us in the Florida Keys. On Tuesday, I led a charter on the Coolcast out to the Gulf Stream for some deep sea angling and into the harbor for some light tackle action. This party not only nabbed a couple Sailfish offshore, but also some trophy Tarpon inshore as well.

Looking forward, we expect the Sailfish angling to be especially good this week due to the easterly winds. Conditions this time of year are idyllic for Sailfish angling in the Keys; these trophy billfish migrate past Key West in the Gulf Stream at this point every spring.

Don't miss your chance for some excellent light tackle angling at the end of April when scores of Permit swarm the reef south of Key West. These fighting sport-fish will really become active when the moon is full at the tail end of this month; our captains usually use green crabs to hook these silver-scaled fighters.

We look forward to seeing you in Key West,

Captain Damon Santelli
